Welcome

Located in the wonderful Southern Tablelands of NSW just outside of the hertitage listed township of Braidwood our property provides a relaxing farm stay retreat for Australian Defence Force veterans.

We are chemical free and a primary producer of Black Angus Cattle, Black Suffolk Sheep and Heirloom Vegetables.

We also run non-farming activities that mutually support argiculture, land regeneration and wildness education.

Independent and self funded we provide a number of activites around the farm to inspire confidence when physically challenged or dealing with the emotional effects of service.

Our ultimate goal is to create a Veteran Farmer Co-Op, firstly in our region and then throughout Australia. We see our farm as being a great introduction to the farming lifestyle, from "protector to provider"

To enhance the variety and diversity of farming operations we have co-operation with neighbouring properties who are supporters of the veteran farm stay concept. Many of these properties have been in the same family name since settlement and have close connections to military heritage. 

Today the Alternate RV serves as a place for a new beginning, just as our early settlers did and we believe our young veterans are the new guardians of the Australian farming landscape.
